of ground failure during earthquakes is the liquefaction BxZop.zwE(
phenomenon which has produced severe damage all :&or'Yi}
over the world. This paper summarizes the methods of :sPku<1is
determining the dynamic properties as well as potential 1@nR.v "$
for liquefaction of soils. Parameters affecting the dynamic x6)
properties and liquefaction have been brought out. =v;-{o N!
A simple procedure of obtaining the dynamic properties 10}Zoq|)n
of layered ground has been highlighted. Results of a HWefuj
series of cyclic triaxial tests on liquefiable sands collected WVN Q} KY
