Design of geotechnical engineering problems that involve =T-&j60
dynamic loading of soils and soil–structure interaction 1$D_6U:H0
systems requires the determination of two important 6hlc1?
parameters, the shear modulus and the damping !j:9`XD|
of the soils. The recent developments in the numerical R@/"B8H
analyses for the nonlinear dynamic responses of grounds ,I7E[LU
due to strong earthquake motions have increased the 5 xppKt

of ground failure during earthquakes is the liquefaction )[PtaPWeT
phenomenon which has produced severe damage all 8VeQ-#7M/
