i agree with gcoast, where there are few reasons causing the casualty.
1. no steel prop at bottom which is the site negligence
2. not sensitive to the real time monitoring
3. use of MC model in modelling. lower excess pore water pressure and higher undrained shear strength. This can be easily seen from the MC stress path. The shortcoming will be eliminated if you use higher order of soil model such as modified cam clay or HSM.
