太沙基讲座（Terzaghi lecture)
 
    太沙基讲座 (Terzaghi Lecture)是美国土木工程师协会（ASCE）岩土分会为纪念现代土力学奠基人太沙基博士（Karl Terzaghi)而设立的。始于1963年，每年举行一次，迄今已有41届 (1965，1973因种种原因没有举行)，报告内容刊载于ASCE主办的学报上。报告人来自世界各地。均为岩土工程界的顶尖人士。能在ASCE年会上做太沙基报告，既是对报告人成就的肯定，也是对其擅长专题的高度总结。正因为如此，太沙基报告在圈内的影响力非同一般。和英国的朗肯讲座并列为岩土工程界的顶尖荣誉。

我国的名人就不要多说了吧？
现在很多标准、原理、分析程序都是外国的，要莫就是拿来修改后形成的具有中国特色的东西，所以我国大师还是叫推广人更好，要是有一天我国的岩土工程领域能在世界上有号召力就好了，有年轻的岩土学者抓紧努力，实现岩土事业的民族化，赶超日本、美国、澳大利亚、加拿大、俄罗斯。

      王思敬（1934年12月27日生于上海，祖籍安徽）为中国工程院院士，工程地质、环境地质与岩石力学专家。

    1953年毕业于上海吴淞中学，1954-1963年在苏联留学，1959年毕业于苏联莫斯科地质学院水文地质工程地质系，获地质工程师学衔。1963年，研究大坝工程地质问题，获苏联地质矿物科学副博士学位。


    1963年以来在中国科学院地质研究所工作，1978年任副研究员，1981年任研究员，1983年受聘博士生导师，1984－1987年任副所长，1987-1995年任所长。1995年当选为中国工程院院士，2000年任中国工程院能源与矿业工程学部主任。

    王思敬院士曾任或正在担任国际和国内多个专业学会的要职，如国际发展地球科学家协会（AGID）理事长（1987－1995），国际工程地质学与环境学会（IAEG）理事长（1998－2004），IAEG中国国家小组主席，美国材料试验学会（ASTM）岩土委员会理事（1996－ ），中国岩石力学与工程学会（CSRME）理事长（1998－2004）（现为名誉理事长），中国地质学会工程地质委员会主任（1996－2004），香港政府土木工程署斜坡安全国际高级专家组成员，香港大学杰出学者及名誉教授。
