“ 国际地下空间联合研究中心 ”(Associated Research Centers for the Urban Underground Space)（以下简称 “ACUUS”）是目前国际上从事地下空间领域学术研究的重要国际性非政府学术组织，起源于1983到1996年间由来自加拿大、法国、日本和美国的专家和学者自发组织围绕地下空间开发利用主题开展了一系列的国际学术会议。随着学术活动的规模和影响逐渐扩大，为进一步加强和推动国际地下空间开发领域的学术交流与合作，1996年秋在日本仙台共同发起成立了国际地下空间联合研究中心, 1997年10月在加拿大蒙特利尔举行的第七届地下空间国际会议后正式成立秘书处，总部（秘书处）设在加拿大蒙特利尔城市学院。

On behalf of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), the Egyptian Geotechnical Society, the Government of Egypt, and the city of Alexandria, we cordially invite all geotechnical academics and practitioners to join us in Alexandria, Egypt for the 17th International Conference on Soil Mechanics & Geotechnical Engineering.  The 17th ICSMGE will take place at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina – the international award-winning recreation of the ancient great Library of Alexandria (388 BC until 412 AD) - from 5 to 9 October 2009.

Conference attendees will join with their colleagues in the field for technical discussions about the growing importance of our profession, the new or changing developments in our field, and our future directions.  In addition to interactive discussions with the experts who will lead the conference sessions, participants in the 17th ICSMGE have the opportunity to discuss the future of the geotechnical engineering field while visiting Egypt, the place where it all began.

会议费用
每篇论文评审费160元（只要求发表中文论文的评审费80元）。
国际期刊版面费及评审费：
国际期刊《Key Engineering Material》的版面费1500元(5页内，每超过1页加收400元)；
SCI收录期刊每页版面费400元，每篇不超过12页（一般6-12页，超过1页加收500元）；
国内期刊版面费情况由杂志社和作者联系。
会议论文摘要集的版面费：每篇100元，由常州工学院编辑出版中文摘要集。
会议注册费：
