会议背景与宗旨:
“国际岩石应力研讨会”是国际岩石力学学会组织的有关地应力研究专业领域的国际会议，该会议已瑞典、日本（两届）、挪威举办过四届。本届国际会议经国际岩石力学学会批准，于2010年8月在中国北京召开。会议宗旨是为从事地壳动力学、岩石力学与岩土工程测试技术的学者和专家提供一个国际交流和共同探讨的机会，展示地应力研究的新进展，推动相关领域的科学进展。
会议专题设置:

第四届中日岩土工程研讨会
会议宗旨:
第四届中日岩土工程研讨会将于2010年4月在拥有亚热带风光、兼有古老文化传统的世界旅游胜地日本冲绳召开。本次会议是继在北京（2003）、上海（2005）和重庆（2007）成功召开的前三届会议之后的又一届学术研讨会。本届研讨会将致力于深入交流、学习中日两国在岩土力学与岩土工程领域的最新研究成果，探讨岩土力学与岩土工程的发展趋势，为中日两国从事岩土力学理论研究和工程应用的学者搭建一个共同研讨岩土工程发展方向和领域的学术平台。我们热诚欢迎国内从事岩土理论研究和工程应用的专家、学者、研究生以及工程技术人员积极投稿并参加会议。

Theme and topics
The Congress will cover the entire scope of rock mechanics and rock engineering, with the emphasis on interfacing rock mechanics and rock engineering with the environment. The main topics include but not limited to the followings:

• Analysis techniques and design methods, modeling and numerical methods.
