If linear interpolation is acceptable, why f(x)=1 or sin(x) in the Morgenstern-Price method is not acceptable. I suspect that for complicated problem, this linear stress assumption may not be good. This paper can be an interesting reference, but not a major improvement to the existing method. Unless the authors can prove that linear assumption is always a good approximation, however many people will use this method ? O5=ggG

This paper is useful for reference, but need to be critical in assessing the basic assumption. There are many methods in geotechnical engineering which are based on assumptions which cannot be proved !
