There are two full scholarships for PhD study at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. The total scholarship will be at least $30,000 per year up to three years covering the tuition and basic living costs. The research will be related to soil nail wall, urban tunnelling, and transparent soil modelling. The minimum requirements are the following:
1. Excellent undergraduate and graduate records in civil, geotechnical, structural, mining or related engineering discplines;
2. For undergraduate education not given in English, the minimum English requirement is any one of these: TOEFL (IBT) 93, TOEFL (PBT) 580, or IELTS 7;
3. Preference will be given to domestic students or international students with excellent publication records;
4. The deadline is January 20, 2012; and
